The next scene was even more bizarre, and Elan tilted his head slightly. Becoming more accustomed to the absurdity, he was finding the film a little easier to enjoy.

"What I object to is that you automatically treat me like an inferior!"

"Oh, King, eh, very nice. And how d'you get that, eh? By exploiting the workers! By 'anging on to outdated imperialist dogma which perpetuates the economic and social differences in our society. If there's ever going to be any progress with the--"


Now, this was humorous. The interplay involving differing expectations and social mores was a staple of Second Age comedy, and this situation was simple enough that Elan could certainly enjoy it. Chuckling to himself, he sat up for a moment to drink some water, careful not to spit it in a fit of laughter.
