Shelley stays where she is for a minute, waiting for her heart to stop thudding, and stop the clawing feeling of panic that had hit close on the heels of her confusion when she woke.

Then the sound of her alarm was almost shock enough to catapult her off the bed. A few shaky tries and it is switched unhappily off, and the girl heads for the bathroom in a slight daze. Work, yes.

There is a sound halfway between a shriek and a yelp, and the bathroom door slams closed again.
