His hand caressed her cheek for a moment as he smiled sadly. She was disbelieving, but would she want the nightmares to end more?

"Yes, I do."

His eyes glanced away from her for a moment as he softly spoke. His bare chest brushed her shoulder and side.

"...I care about you."
