Shelley had waited a long time in the dark. Longer than probably she needed, but she was in no way willing to wake him up when she moves.
Slowly, very slowly, she steps over his sleeping - please god - form, and heads swiftly to the door on bare feet. A tug on the handle proves it is locked, and she bites her lip, glaring back over her shoulder. She swallows and examines the keypad. She has used them before, and though this one is a little different...
Quickly, she presses the sequence to unlock the door. She is not staying in here.

Quickly, she presses the sequence to unlock the door. She is not staying in here.

She advances on the desk, pulling the chair out from under it. It's heavy and unweildy, but she can probably just about lift it...
no subject
"And so you are going to sleep outside?"
no subject
She's done it before.
A tilt of the head, and she lifts the chair, gritting her teeth with effort, and shoves it forward into the window.
no subject
"Is this really necessary?"
no subject
She does it again, strain hurting her wrists, but the window is beginning to splinter.

"It was fears that you would do something like this that had me sleeping on the floor of one of my libraries."
no subject
Shelley shoves it forward again, but too weakly, and it hits the wall instead of the window. She almost growls in frustration, grabbing at it again.

"We seem to have something of a dilemma, then."
no subject
She almost screams as she tries to wrench his hand from her shoulder. She can't be here, he can't be close, it's not right, it's...
no subject
"Someone is up past their bedtime, and needs to sleep."
no subject
Furious and half-crying, she turns to lash out, mostly missing. She attempts kicking him, too, but without shoes on, she is angrily aware that she is likely doing no damage at all.
no subject
"Enough."
no subject
She's shaking, and not just from the anger and exhaustion.
no subject
"Can I trust you not to do something foolish or rash?"
no subject
"...Yes."
no subject
"Are you sure?"
no subject
Anything, if she can just get out of there, now.
no subject
"Please do not make me regret trusting you."
no subject
But all she does is look at him, and follow him to the door.
no subject
"There."
no subject
She walks out without another word, resisting the urge to run away though the dark corridors.
