Copper Edge
May. 27th, 2005 03:10 pmTrying not to cry, Shelley walks out of Milliways into the storm, and the door disappears behind her.
She hardly takes a step when she feels something give way, as if whatever was holding her fragile mind together had disintegrated on leaving the bar.
No! Not again...
The other nature surged upward, bringing the horrible craving and need to kill with it. She could smell blood. There was a human nearby.
BRAINS?!!!
At a run, she knocks the nearest human to the floor with a scream of triumph, which rapidly turns to shock as the other hits her across the head with a golf club. Taking the swiftest course of escape, the Zombie runs for a nearby golf cart. She fails to notice, in her unstable state, the large conducting rod that extends high up into the thunderstorm.
There are many things zombies can survive that ordinary humans cannot.
A lightning strike is not one of them.
KRRRRACK!
