Zera is aware that there is a warm arm around her waist before she even quite realises that she has woken up. Her mind has the slightly-fuzzy feel that comes from being allowed to sleep until she wakes, without interruptions.
The sun coming through the curtains is bright and warm.
She turns over slowly and drowsily to look at the man still asleep next to her through sleep-tousled hair.
This is a way of waking that she could definitely get used to.
